What happens when you roll a 7 in Catan?

When a 7 is rolled, any player with more than 7 resource cards must discard half (rounded down). Then the player who rolled moves the robber to any hex, blocking its production, and steals one random resource card from a player with a settlement or city on that hex.

The base game of Catan supports 3-4 players. With the 5-6 player extension, you can play with up to 6 players. The Seafarers expansion and other expansions also have their own 5-6 player extensions.
